Nastaa a 21-year-old girl from the south of England is summoned to the high court of a mystical land found in between the minds of the mentally insane and the wickedly wise, under the accusation of murder.

The ancient decree of Keshka gives any being on trial for murder 71 days to prove their innocence. If the convict is unable to prove their innocence by the end of the 71 days their life will be terminated. 

During the 71 days, the convict will be set free to allow them to gather evidence to prove their innocence. However, it is the job of a full-time Rochteh to bind themself to the convicted soul to ensure they do not commit any further crimes. It is also the job of the Rochteh to execute the accused if they attempt to escape the state and to execute them at the end of the 71 days if they fail to prove their innocence. 

All eyes are watching her closely as this is no ordinary murder, but the murder of their queen. How will she prove her innocence and who might she meet along the way?
